Kill Date: September 30, 2012
The 7th Annual Broad Humor Film Festival promises a fun-filled weekend of films by women directors and writers. Unique among film festivals, Broad Humor manages to deliver laughs from a female perspective, build community with lively discussions and events, and showcase voices we don’t usually hear. This year’s festivities open on Thursday September 27 with a live cabaret featuring some of the funniest female comics, sketches, dance, and music. Friday brings a reprise of last year’s provocative and informative DIY Day with this year’s theme being “filmmaking for the new paradigm.” Films run Friday through Sunday. Panels and screenplay readings round out the weekend. More details below or at the festival website: broadhumor.com.
