4 DAYS x 40 FILMS=1000 LAUGHS
BROADS: women who throw a mean punch... LINE!

Venice California’s Fabulous Comedy Female Film Festival Gracefully Turns 10!

The Broad Humor Film Festival is back this year to tickle your funny bone with a weekend long romp of women-centric feature films, shorts, workshops and Screenplay Lab staged readings September 24th – 27th at the solar-powered visual and performing arts center, The Electric Lodge.

Named among the Top Five "Coolest Women's Film Festivals in the World” for 2013 by Moviemaker Magazine (and, they’re right!), the 2015 festival is on the horizon, fueled by the highest submissions level our tiny festival can handle. Tickets go on sale in September through Goldstar. This year feature the addition of a sixth shorts program entitle “Don’t Blink” which showcases some of this years best short-shorts, as well as the usual collect of programs promises to be our most diverse and internationally spiced ever.

The festival’s mission is to provide a fun-filled four days of films by women directors and writers. Unique among film festivals, Broad Humor manages to serve up laughs from a female perspective, build community with networking opportunities, lively discussions and events, and showcase voices we don’t usually hear. Men are welcome too!

Want to volunteer or be a co-sponsor? Help support filmmakers and chill with a great bunch of gals, while laughing a lot. Students interested in internships in public relations, film making, or other fields of study that supports the fest’s mission can also get credit working with the festival. Email the fest at info@broadhumor.com for more info.

Opening night Gala kicks off Thursday Night. Friday sees the return of our highly popular Soup to Nuts DIY Day Panels. Films run Friday Night through Sunday. Panels and screenplay readings round out the weekend. Parking is available on premises. More details at the festival Facebook page, or send inquiries to info@broadhumor.com
