You and the Writers Guild- 1 pm

The Writers Guild will introduce their New Media and Diversity programs and discuss writing for the web with attendees.

The Selling Script - 2 pm

Laura Shapiro will share an approach to writing that recognizes that scripts must be sold before they can be made. Laura J. Shapiro is a producer, writer and script consultant. Most recently, she produced the independent feature, Beautiful Wave, scheduled for release later this year. She edited the book ,"The First Time I Got Paid For It: Writers' Tales From The Hollywood Trenches," a project of the Writers Guild Foundation, now in its third printing.

Broadsides Screenplay Lab - 3 pm

Excerpts from finalist screenplay read by professional actors

Awards and Closing Ceremonies 5 pm
